This Privacy Policy explains how the TrustGold platform, operated by Au Trust Gold, a unit of Chandra Kanti Jewellers, with its registered office at C-7/2D Rajajipuram, Near Balaji Mandir, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226017 ("TrustGold", "we", "us"), as data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), collects and uses your personal data.
To provide the service, complete KYC and anti-money-laundering checks, process payments, prevent fraud, provide support, comply with legal obligations, improve the product, and — where you have consented — send you communications.
We process your data on the basis of your consent and the legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act. You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, subject to legal retention requirements.
Aadhaar information is collected only with your explicit consent through OTP-based Offline KYC (UIDAI). We never store your 12-digit Aadhaar number — only your UIDAI-verified name and the last 4 digits are retained, in accordance with UIDAI regulations. We do not collect or store Aadhaar biometrics.
We do not store your UPI PIN, card PIN or full card details, and we will never ask you to share your OTP or UPI PIN. Payment credentials are handled by our regulated payment partners.
We share data only as needed with vault and custody partners, KYC and verification providers, payment processors, our professional advisers, and regulators or law-enforcement where legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for the period required by law, including record-keeping obligations under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002 ("PMLA").
We use AES-256 encryption at rest, encryption in transit, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Subject to the DPDP Act, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data, nominate another individual to exercise your rights, and raise grievances with our Grievance Officer.
We use cookies to operate and improve the platform. The service is not intended for anyone under 18.
We send transactional and security messages (OTPs, confirmations, account notices) as part of the service. We also send promotional or informational messages such as price alerts and daily or monthly summaries, by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Price alerts and the daily summary come only if you set them up. The rest — the monthly summary, announcements, save reminders and WhatsApp updates — are on by default for an account opened before sign-up offered a “Send me offers and reminders” choice, and off for one opened since, unless you ticked that choice or switch them on in your account settings. You can switch them off at any time from the link in any such message or from your account settings, and doing so never affects transactional messages. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time without affecting transactional ones.
Your data is processed and stored using reputable cloud-infrastructure and service providers, including application hosting (Render) and transactional email delivery (Resend), which may host or process data in India, Singapore, the United States and other countries. Where data is processed outside India, we take steps consistent with the DPDP Act and applicable law to protect it.
If a personal-data breach occurs, we will take prompt remedial action and notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users where required, in the manner and within the timelines prescribed under the DPDP Act.
If you add a nominee, we store the details you provide (such as name, relationship and contact number) to give effect to your nomination. You confirm you have the nominee's consent to share their information with us.
